ACT Heavy Duty Performance 6-Puck Disc Clutch Kit – 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Evo 8/9

Description:

ACT ACT Heavy Duty 6-Pad Spring-Centered Ceramic Race Clutch Kit for 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 (4G63T)

The ACT ACT Heavy Duty 6-Pad Spring-Centered Ceramic Race Clutch Kit for 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 and 9 replaces the factory clutch with an ACT system engineered to handle more torque and heat. The ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate provides Heavy Duty clamp load, significantly more than OEM, and the 6-pad spring-centered ceramic race disc delivers more aggressive than street disc, more compliant than rigid, mixed street/track.

DETAILS

• Pressure plate: ACT Heavy Duty
• Clutch disc: 6-Pad Spring-Centered Ceramic Race
• Clamp load: Heavy Duty clamp load, significantly more than OEM
• Engagement: more aggressive than street disc, more compliant than rigid, mixed street/track
• Use case: mixed street/track use, autocross, track days

ACT pressure plates use precision cover stampings and four-stage heat-treated diaphragms. The ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate's diaphragm geometry is calibrated to deliver Heavy Duty clamp load, significantly more than OEM without unnecessary pedal weight increase. Chrome-moly hubs on all ACT discs are heat-treated for strength and long-term durability under repeated heat cycling.

This kit is application-specific to 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 and 9. ACT engineers each clutch kit for the correct disc diameter, pressure plate sizing, and disc specification for the application. Installing a correctly specced ACT kit means the geometry and spring rates are correct, not adapted from a universal or shared-platform design.

Why Choose ACT

Advanced Clutch Technology has been manufacturing performance clutch systems in the United States since 1993. Every ACT pressure plate uses a proprietary diaphragm design that increases clamp load and reduces deflection compared to OEM units, and every diaphragm goes through a four-stage heat-treating process before it leaves the factory. The result is a clutch system that holds more power than the stock unit, engages more precisely, and lasts longer under the kind of driving that wears factory clutches out quickly. ACT designs each application from scratch rather than modifying OEM tooling, which means the fitment is precise and the performance is intentional. Whether the build is a street-driven daily driver or a dedicated track car, ACT offers a kit at the correct specification for the use.

The RallySport Take

The ACT Heavy Duty 6-pad Sprung race kit is the correct choice for builds that see both track and street use. The ceramic pads provide the heat capacity you need for sustained hard driving, and the spring-center hub construction damps the torsional shocks that rigid discs transmit directly to the drivetrain. ACT's wraparound spring window design and thicker retainer stampings make the spring center more durable under repeated hard engagement than standard designs. The result is a clutch that performs like a race disc at the track and does not punish you for driving home afterward. Fits Mitsubishi applications 2003-2006.
