ACT 06-25 Subaru WRX XT/Race Rigid 4 Pad Clutch Kit

Description:

ACT Xtreme Race Rigid 4-Pad Clutch Kit for Subaru WRX and EJ-Series Models

The ACT Xtreme Race Rigid 4-Pad Clutch Kit for the 2006-2026 Subaru WRX and EJ-series models pairs the Xtreme pressure plate with a 4-pad rigid ceramic race disc. The 4-pad configuration is well-suited to smaller disc sizes in smaller-displacement engines, on the EJ-series it is the alternative to the 6-pad for builds where the 4-pad's lighter weight and slightly different engagement feel is preferred. Same rigid, immediate engagement character as the 6-pad.

DETAILS

• Pressure plate: ACT Xtreme, maximum clamp load
• Clutch disc: 4-pad rigid ceramic race
• Disc material: high-quality ceramic friction
• Hub: chrome-moly, heat-treated, rigid
• Marcel: none, immediate full engagement
• Use case: track and competition
• Suited for smaller disc sizes, 4-pad is lighter than 6-pad
• Note: harsh engagement, not suitable for street daily use

The 4-pad rigid disc uses the same ceramic friction material and chrome-moly hub construction as the 6-pad, with four pads instead of six. The reduced total friction pad area compared to the 6-pad means the 4-pad runs slightly cooler in sustained use, on smaller disc diameters, the 4-pad is the preferred configuration because the smaller disc has less surface area to dissipate heat.

The rigid hub construction means no dampening between the disc and the transmission input shaft. Engagement is immediate and shifts are as fast as the driveline allows. The Xtreme pressure plate's maximum clamp load ensures this disc does not slip under any EJ-series power level.

Why Choose ACT

Advanced Clutch Technology has been manufacturing performance clutch systems in the United States since 1993. Every ACT pressure plate uses a proprietary diaphragm design that increases clamp load and reduces deflection compared to OEM units, and every diaphragm goes through a four-stage heat-treating process before it leaves the factory. The result is a clutch system that holds more power than the stock unit, engages more precisely, and lasts longer under the kind of driving that wears factory clutches out quickly. ACT designs each application from scratch rather than modifying OEM tooling, which means the fitment is precise and the performance is intentional. Whether the build is a street-driven daily driver or a dedicated track car, ACT offers a kit at the correct specification for the use.

The RallySport Take

The ACT Xtreme 4-pad Rigid kit is for builds where daily drivability has already been traded for performance. Engagement is abrupt there is no organic cushion and no spring damping in the hub. What you get is the fastest possible clutch engagement, ceramic friction material that does not fade under sustained track heat, and a chrome-moly hub that handles repeated aggressive launches without fatigue. This is not a commuter clutch. It is the correct choice for time attack, track days, and competition builds where every second and every shift matters. Fits Subaru applications 2005,2007-2025.
