Cobb Sway Bar Package – 2022-2026 Subaru WRX

Description:

Cobb Sway Bar Package 2022-2026 Subaru WRX

The Cobb Sway Bar Package for the 2022-2026 Subaru WRX includes front and rear hollow steel sway bars sized to improve the VB WRX's cornering flatness and handling balance over the factory bars. Polyurethane mounting bushings and end links are included for a complete installation.

DETAILS

• Platform: 2022-2026 Subaru WRX FA24WGT
• Includes: front sway bar, rear sway bar, polyurethane mounting bushings, and end links
• Hollow steel construction stiffness of larger bar at lower weight than solid
• Reduced body roll in corners flatter cornering attitude vs factory
• Polyurethane bushings at mounting points reduce geometry deflection vs factory rubber
• End links included correct geometry for full bar range of motion
• All hardware included for complete installation

Hollow Steel Construction and Front/Rear Balance

A sway bar also called an anti-roll bar connects the left and right suspension corners through a torsional spring that resists the body roll generated during cornering. When the car corners, weight transfers to the outside wheels and the body rolls away from the corner. The sway bar transfers some of this load back to the inside wheel, keeping both suspension corners working more evenly and reducing the angle of body roll. A stiffer sway bar produces less body roll for a given cornering load the car stays flatter through corners, the suspension geometry changes less, and the driver experiences more predictable, communicative handling. The front and rear sway bars work together to define the car's handling balance: a stiffer front bar increases understeer tendency; a stiffer rear bar increases oversteer tendency. The correct combination is determined by the chassis balance goals of the build.

Body Roll Reduction, Polyurethane Bushings, and Complete Installation

Cobb's sway bars use hollow steel construction rather than solid hollow bars provide the same torsional stiffness as a heavier solid bar at reduced weight. The reduced unsprung weight from a hollow bar compared to a heavier solid unit is a genuine improvement in suspension response speed. End links are included with the sway bar packages the end links connect the sway bar ends to the strut or knuckle, and the correct end link geometry is important for the sway bar to operate through its full range of motion without bind. Polyurethane bushings are included at the sway bar mounting points, providing more consistent and durable compliance than factory rubber mounts that deflect and change the sway bar's effective stiffness under load.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning

Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.

The RallySport Take

The Cobb Sway Bar Package for the 2022-2026 WRX addresses the VB platform's handling balance directly. The factory WRX sway bars are calibrated for broad-market road conditions adequate for normal driving but leaving handling balance and body roll control short of what the FA24WGT's performance character warrants. With the Cobb sway bar package installed, the VB WRX corners flatter, responds more predictably to mid-corner adjustments, and communicates suspension load through the steering and chassis more clearly.
