Whiteline Front & Rear Sway Bar Kit – 2002-2003 Subaru WRX

Description:

Whiteline Front & Rear Sway Bar Kit - 2002-2003 Subaru WRX

Complete Sway Bar Package for the Early GD WRX
Whiteline's front and rear sway bar kit for the 2002-2003 Subaru WRX covers the first two years of the GD platform with matched front and rear bars selected for balanced anti-roll performance. Purchasing a kit ensures the bars are paired for the front-to-rear roll stiffness ratio that Whiteline's engineers determined works best on this platform, rather than mixing bars from different sources and hoping the balance is correct.

DETAILS

• Front and rear sway bar kit for 2002-2003 Subaru WRX (early GD chassis)
• Bars selected for balanced front-to-rear roll stiffness ratio
• Includes all hardware for complete installation
• Hollow chromoly steel construction
• Significant anti-roll stiffness increase over OEM

Why Buy a Kit Rather Than Individual Bars
Sway bar stiffness matters in relation to the opposite axle. Adding a very stiff front bar on an unchanged rear setup shifts the balance heavily toward understeer. A matched kit ensures the bars work together to produce a handling balance that's predictable and adjustable -- more roll resistance overall, but distributed correctly between front and rear.

Early GD WRX -- 2002-2003 Specific
The 2002-2003 GD WRX uses the same fundamental platform as later GD years but has some chassis-specific fitment requirements. This kit is specifically sized and confirmed for the 2002-2003 model years.

Foundation for the Rest of the Build
Sway bars are most effective when the rest of the suspension is also in good shape -- correct bushing compliance, proper endlink geometry, and functional dampers. If you're doing a suspension refresh on an early GD WRX, this sway bar kit is the correct starting point for the anti-roll system.

Why Choose Whiteline

Whiteline has been engineering suspension components from their facility in Australia since 1979. Every product in their catalog is developed with a clear goal: measurable improvement in handling, stability, and tyre contact. Whiteline's polyurethane bushings, sway bars, control arms, and alignment correction kits are engineered using finite element analysis and validated on track before they reach the market. Their components are direct-fit, bolt-on solutions designed for enthusiasts who want real performance gains without fabrication or custom work.

The RallySport Take

The straightforward choice for complete sway bar coverage on the 2002-2003 GD WRX. Matched bars, balanced performance, everything included. Everything fits together as a system -- the bar diameters, bushing specs, and mount hardware are all matched. Stock-height endlinks are included; if the car has been lowered, adjustable endlinks are the correct follow-on purchase. Run both bars at their middle positions first and adjust from there based on how the car responds on your road or circuit of choice.
