Description:
Whiteline Sway Bar Mount Bushing Kit - 21mm - 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy
Correct 21mm Mount Bushing for the BL/BP Subaru Legacy
The Whiteline 21mm sway bar mount bushing for the 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy BL/BP is the correct polyurethane replacement for worn OEM rubber mounts or for completing an aftermarket sway bar installation requiring 21mm mounts. Polyurethane compound keeps the bar firmly located under cornering loads, and the knurled inner bore retains grease for quiet, long-lasting operation.

BL/BP Legacy Sway Bar Maintenance
The 2005-2009 BL/BP Legacy -- including the Legacy GT turbocharged variants -- uses sway bars that benefit from the same bushing quality upgrades as the WRX and STI. OEM rubber mounts on aging BL/BP examples are commonly worn, contributing to sway bar noise and reduced effectiveness. Polyurethane replacement restores correct function.
Knurled ID for Quiet Operation
The knurled inner bore holds grease against the bar surface, preventing the dry-interface squeak that develops when grease migrates out of a smooth bore. Apply grease at installation and the knurled surface keeps the interface quiet.
21mm Specific Fitment
Confirm your Legacy's sway bar diameter is 21mm before ordering. The BL/BP uses different bar diameters depending on trim and model year -- the 21mm is correct for certain configurations. Whiteline carries bushings in multiple diameters for the BL/BP platform.
Why Choose Whiteline
Whiteline has been engineering suspension components from their facility in Australia since 1979. Every product in their catalog is developed with a clear goal: measurable improvement in handling, stability, and tyre contact. Whiteline's polyurethane bushings, sway bars, control arms, and alignment correction kits are engineered using finite element analysis and validated on track before they reach the market. Their components are direct-fit, bolt-on solutions designed for enthusiasts who want real performance gains without fabrication or custom work.
The RallySport Take
Simple maintenance upgrade for the BL/BP Legacy. If the sway bar mount bushings are original, they're due for replacement -- polyurethane is the correct choice. Installation is a straightforward bar swap -- remove the OEM bar, install the Whiteline unit with the provided polyurethane mount bushings, connect the endlinks. Start in the middle adjustment position and move from there. Adjustable endlinks are a worthwhile companion purchase if the car has been lowered, ensuring the bar operates at zero preload at the new ride height.
