Whiteline Rear Sway Bar 24mm Adjustable – Subaru Models (inc. 2008+ WRX/STI)

Description:

Whiteline Rear Sway Bar 24mm Adjustable - Subaru Models (inc. 2008+ WRX/STI)

Maximum Rear Anti-Roll Stiffness for Track-Focused GR/GV/VA Builds
The Whiteline BSR49XXZ 24mm adjustable rear sway bar is the largest diameter option in the BSR49 family -- designed for WRX and STI builds where maximum rear anti-roll stiffness is the priority. At 24mm vs. the 22mm BSR49XZ, the difference in torsional stiffness is significant. This is the bar for dedicated track cars, autocross builds, and drivers who want the most rear roll control available in a direct bolt-on rear sway bar for the GR/GV/VA chassis.

DETAILS

• 24mm adjustable rear sway bar for 2008+ Subaru WRX and STI (GR, GV, VA chassis)
• Larger diameter than BSR49XZ for increased rear anti-roll stiffness
• Multiple adjustment positions
• Hollow chromoly steel construction
• For track-focused builds and drivers who want maximum rear roll control

BSR49XZ vs. BSR49XXZ -- Which One?
The 22mm BSR49XZ is the correct choice for most WRX and STI owners doing a balanced street/track build. The 24mm BSR49XXZ is for builds where rear roll stiffness is being maximized -- typically dedicated track cars running stiffer coilovers and sticky tyres where the increased rear stiffness is appropriate for the overall setup. Running a 24mm rear bar on a street car with OEM springs can produce an uncomfortable ride quality.

System Balance
A 24mm rear bar is stiff -- it should be matched with appropriate front roll stiffness and suspension rates. On a dedicated track build, a 24mm rear pairs well with Whiteline's larger front bars and stiffer coilovers. On a street car, the 22mm BSR49XZ is the better match.

Hollow Chromoly Construction
Same hollow chromoly steel construction as the BSR49XZ -- the 24mm diameter is achieved at a competitive weight through the hollow cross-section.

Why Choose Whiteline

Whiteline has been engineering suspension components from their facility in Australia since 1979. Every product in their catalog is developed with a clear goal: measurable improvement in handling, stability, and tyre contact. Whiteline's polyurethane bushings, sway bars, control arms, and alignment correction kits are engineered using finite element analysis and validated on track before they reach the market. Their components are direct-fit, bolt-on solutions designed for enthusiasts who want real performance gains without fabrication or custom work.

The RallySport Take

The 24mm option for WRX and STI owners who want maximum rear anti-roll stiffness. Correct for track-focused builds -- make sure your overall setup is matched for a bar of this stiffness. Installation is a straightforward bar swap -- remove the OEM bar, install the Whiteline unit with the provided polyurethane mount bushings, connect the endlinks. Start in the middle adjustment position and move from there. Adjustable endlinks are a worthwhile companion purchase if the car has been lowered, ensuring the bar operates at zero preload at the new ride height.
