Technical note & advice:

These power steering hoses often leak on the BMW E36, especially on older vehicles.

Our advice: preferably replace immediately:

• all power steering hoses,
• and the power steering reservoir.

Why?
The reservoir contains a internal filter that over time clogged. The other hoses are usually also aged and dried out.

What happens with one leak?
There will be air in the power steering system, which may lead to steering pump damage whether it wheelhouse - resulting in high costs.

Avoid problems by replacing everything at once.
