Description:
The MMX Performance BMW N20 / N52 / N54 / N55 / S55 Billet Oil Filter Housing Cap is engineered to replace one of the most common failure points found on BMW engines. The factory plastic oil filter housing cap is susceptible to cracking during routine maintenance, often resulting in oil leaks, damaged threads, and repeated replacement. This precision-machined billet aluminum housing provides a permanent solution while enhancing the appearance of the engine bay.
Machined from a solid block of 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum using advanced 5-axis CNC machining, the MMX oil filter housing cap delivers exceptional strength, precision, and long-term durability. Finished in a gloss Midnight Black anodized coating with a laser-etched MMX logo, it offers an OEM+ appearance while resisting corrosion, wear, and discoloration.
Unlike the factory housing, the MMX design incorporates an integrated pressure control oil bypass, eliminating the need to remove and transfer the original plastic bypass valve during installation. Supplied with a factory-specification O-ring, the cap provides reliable sealing and direct OEM-level fitment while simplifying routine oil service.
Designed for both daily-driven and high-performance BMW applications, the MMX Billet Oil Filter Housing Cap eliminates the weaknesses of the factory plastic component while providing the durability and precision expected from a premium billet upgrade.
