Lets explore what makes this coolant stand out, and why its a must-have for those who care about the longevity and efficiency of their engines.
What is Liqui Moly RAF 12+ Coolant Ready Mix 8810?
Liqui Moly RAF 12+ is a silicate-free, long-life coolant formulated using organic acid technology (OAT). Its designed to be ready-to-use, which means its pre-mixed with demineralized water in the ideal ratio for direct applicationno additional dilution needed. This ensures consistent performance, protects against user error in mixing, and maintains optimal concentration for maximum efficiency.
This coolant is developed for use in modern engine cooling systems made from aluminum and other lightweight alloys, and it complies with a wide range of international standards and OEM specifications.
Key Features & Benefits
Advanced Protection Against Corrosion
The primary function of coolant isnt just temperature controlits also about protecting the entire cooling system. Liqui Moly RAF 12+ forms a protective barrier on metal surfaces, safeguarding the radiator, water pump, cylinder head, and engine block from corrosion, rust, and scaling. This extends the life of vital components and reduces the risk of leaks or premature failure.
Ready-to-Use Convenience
Forget the hassle of measuring and mixing. The 8810 Ready Mix formula comes pre-diluted with demineralized water, ensuring perfect balance every time. Its the ideal solution for busy drivers and professional mechanics looking for efficiency without compromising on quality.
Year-Round Thermal Stability
Whether its scorching heat or sub-zero conditions, this coolant maintains engine temperatures within the optimal range. It resists boiling in high temperatures and prevents freezing in cold weather, ensuring consistent performance across seasons and climates.
Long-Life Formula
Thanks to its organic acid technology (OAT), Liqui Moly RAF 12+ offers extended change intervals, reducing the frequency of coolant replacement and lowering long-term maintenance costs. The long-life formula means fewer coolant flushes and more time on the road.
Silicate-Free Composition
Unlike traditional coolants that use silicates (which can precipitate and cause deposits), RAF 12+ is silicate-free, making it much gentler on water pumps, seals, and other cooling system components. This results in less wear and longer service life for the entire cooling system.
Environmentally Friendly & Low Toxicity
Liqui Moly prioritizes eco-consciousness. RAF 12+ is formulated to be low in toxicity and free from harmful substances like amines, nitrites, and phosphates. While still requiring careful handling, it aligns with modern environmental safety standards.
How It Works in the Engine System
Coolant flows through the engine, absorbing excess heat produced during combustion. It then moves through the radiator, where heat is released into the surrounding air. In cold conditions, the antifreeze properties prevent the coolant from freezing and damaging engine components.
Liqui Moly RAF 12+ enhances this process with its stable chemical structure, meaning it remains effective even under high engine loads and temperature fluctuations. Its lubricating properties also support moving parts like the water pump, preventing premature wear and failure.
Why Choose Liqui Moly RAF 12+ Over Conventional Coolants?
-
Better Compatibility: Suitable for all cooling systems made with aluminum and other metals, including those in high-performance or turbocharged engines.
-
Extended Service Life: Designed for long replacement intervals, minimizing maintenance downtime.
-
No Deposit Formation: Free from silicates and phosphates, which can cause build-up and system blockages.
-
Reliable German Engineering: Produced by one of the most trusted names in automotive lubricants and chemicals.
-
Total Peace of Mind: When you use Liqui Moly, youre investing in proven quality and trusted protection.
Application Tips for Best Results
-
Use as-is: This coolant is ready-mixed. Do not add water or mix with other types of coolant unless explicitly recommended.
-
Flush old coolant: When switching from a different type or brand of coolant, it is recommended to flush the cooling system to avoid chemical incompatibility.
-
Check levels regularly: Ensure the coolant level is within the marked range on the reservoir.
-
Store properly: Keep the container sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Storage and Shelf Life
Liqui Moly RAF 12+ Coolant Ready Mix 8810 has a long shelf life when stored correctlytypically up to 35 years unopened. Once opened, ensure the cap is tightly sealed after each use to prevent contamination or evaporation. As with all chemical products, keep it out of reach of children and dispose of used coolant responsibly at an approved facility.
Final Thoughts: Engine Confidence in a Bottle
Your engine is a powerful machinebut its also vulnerable to extreme temperatures, corrosion, and internal damage. Liqui Moly RAF 12+ Coolant Ready Mix 8810 (5 Litres) is more than just a fluidits a defensive shield against overheating, freezing, and long-term wear. By choosing this high-quality, ready-to-use coolant, youre investing in engine reliability, smoother operation, and worry-free maintenance.
