Description:

Catted 3-Inch Downpipe for the 2016-2019 Volkswagen Golf R and 2015-2016 Audi A3

The Invidia Catted 3-Inch Downpipe for the 2016-2019 Volkswagen Golf R and 2015-2016 Audi A3 replaces the factory downpipe on the EA888 Gen 3 2.0T with a high-flow 76mm stainless unit. The factory MK7 Golf R downpipe is the primary restriction in the EA888's turbocharged exhaust path.

DETAILS

• 3-inch (76mm) piping
• High-flow catalytic converter
• 304 stainless

The EA888 Gen 3 2.0T in the MK7 Golf R responds strongly to downpipe work. The factory unit's restriction is immediately noticeable when removed, turbo response and throttle feel transform with the Invidia unit installed.

High-flow cat maintains emissions compliance. This downpipe is the foundation for MK7 Golf R and A3 performance builds.

Why Choose Invidia

Invidia has been manufacturing performance exhaust systems in Japan since 1999, and in that time they have built a reputation that carries real weight in the tuning community. Every system is manufactured using SUS304 stainless steel and mandrel-bent tubing, which eliminates the flow restrictions and weak points that crush-bent alternatives introduce at every corner. Their in-house engineering team designs each application from scratch rather than adapting a generic template, which is why Invidia fitment is consistently tighter than the competition. The result is an exhaust that installs cleanly, seals correctly, and lasts. Invidia backs their products with a quality standard that is visible in the finish, the weld quality, and the hardware, details that reflect over two decades of refining the same core manufacturing process.
