IAG Replacement Viton Oil Pan Baffle Flap

Description:

IAG Replacement Viton Oil Pan Baffle Flap

Replacement Flap for IAG Oil Pan Baffle Kits
The IAG Viton Oil Baffle Flap is a replacement for the one-way Viton flapper valves used in IAG oil pan baffle assemblies. These flaps are a wear item in the baffle system -- they should be inspected every 12-24 months depending on use intensity, and replaced when wear is evident. Available as individual units, they allow you to service the baffle without replacing the entire assembly.

Why Viton Flaps?
The one-way flapper valves in IAG oil pan baffles are what hold oil near the pickup during hard acceleration, braking, and cornering. They need to flex freely and seal reliably under high-temperature oil -- conditions that degrade lesser materials over time. Viton maintains flexibility and chemical resistance across the temperature range present in a performance engine's oil system.

Inspection and Replacement
IAG recommends inspecting the baffle flaps every 12-24 months depending on how the car is used. Heavy track use warrants more frequent inspection. A flap that has stiffened, torn, or no longer seats correctly will not provide the oil retention performance the baffle was designed for -- replacement is the correct solution.

Compatibility
This flap is compatible with the following IAG oil baffle part numbers: IAG-ENG-2087, IAG-ENG-2100, IAG-ENG-2101, IAG-ENG-2150, IAG-ENG-2202, and IAG-ENG-2203.

Why Choose IAG Performance

IAG Performance has been building Subaru-specific engine and drivetrain components since 2001, and in that time they have become the standard by which serious Subaru builds are measured. Based in Westminster, Maryland, IAG designs, machines, and assembles their products in-house using Haas CNC equipment and their own engineering team. Their catalog spans everything from short blocks and long blocks rated to 1150 BHP all the way down to the fuel system, oiling, and drivetrain hardware that keeps modified Subarus running reliably for years. Every IAG product exists because a problem needed a better solution than what was available -- and the engineering shows.

The RallySport Take

The Viton baffle flap is a low-cost maintenance item that is easy to overlook but important to the continued performance of your IAG oil baffle system. If you have been running a baffle kit for a couple of years, inspect the flaps at your next oil change. Pick up a replacement set to have on hand.
