IAG MAF Sensor Block Off Plate Silver – Subaru Models (inc. 2008-2014 WRX / 2008+ STI)

Description:

IAG MAF Sensor Block-Off Plate -- Silver -- 2008-2014 WRX / 2008-2021 STI

Block Off the MAF Sensor Location for Speed Density Setups
The IAG MAF Sensor Block-Off Plate is a machined aluminum plate designed to block off the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor location in the intake piping when switching to a speed density tuning setup. Speed density tuning uses a MAP sensor and intake air temperature sensor instead of the MAF for load calculation -- which requires blocking off the factory MAF port. Available in silver anodized finish.

DETAILS

• Silver anodized finish
• Machined aluminum construction
• Blocks off factory MAF sensor location for speed density setups
• Required when removing the MAF sensor for speed density tuning
• Fits: 2008-2014 WRX / 2008-2021 STI

Speed Density Tuning and the MAF Block-Off
Speed density tuning calculates engine load using manifold pressure (MAP) and air temperature rather than measuring actual airflow through the MAF sensor. Some high-performance builds switch to speed density because MAF sensors can be limiting -- particularly in setups with large-diameter intake piping or significant modifications to intake airflow paths. Removing the MAF sensor requires blocking off its port to prevent an intake air leak.

Application and Compatibility
The block-off plate fits the factory MAF sensor port on 2008-2014 WRX and 2008-2021 STI applications. It is a precision-fit machined part that seals the port completely when the MAF sensor is removed.

Speed Density Requirement
Speed density tuning requires standalone engine management or a compatible aftermarket ECU that supports this load calculation method. Consult with your tuner before switching to speed density to confirm your ECU and tuning platform are compatible.

Why Choose IAG Performance

IAG Performance has been building Subaru-specific engine and drivetrain components since 2001, and in that time they have become the standard by which serious Subaru builds are measured. Based in Westminster, Maryland, IAG designs, machines, and assembles their products in-house using Haas CNC equipment and their own engineering team. Their catalog spans everything from short blocks and long blocks rated to 1150 BHP all the way down to the fuel system, oiling, and drivetrain hardware that keeps modified Subarus running reliably for years. Every IAG product exists because a problem needed a better solution than what was available -- and the engineering shows.

The RallySport Take

The IAG MAF block-off plate is the correct part for any 08-14 WRX or 08-21 STI switching to speed density tuning. Machined aluminum, correct fitment, silver finish -- a clean, proper solution for the intake modification.
