The IAG 600 FA20 DIT Short Block is the entry point for 2015-2021 WRX owners who need a stronger bottom end to support the increased cylinder pressures created by turbo upgrades and elevated boost. The stock FA20 DIT connecting rods and pistons are adequate at factory power but become a liability when boost goes up. IAG-Spec H-Beam forged connecting rods and JE FSR 86.25mm 2618 alloy forged pistons replace both weak points. Starting with new Subaru FA20 DIT case halves modified for improved oiling, bored and honed to 86.25mm, assembled with a new WRX crankshaft and race bearings, the 600 supports up to 600 BHP with supporting modifications.

Modified Oil Passages and Precise Honing
IAG inspects and modifies the internal oil passages of each new OEM FA20 case to ensure proper flow at performance use levels. After assembly, deck plates are bolted on and the block is bored and honed to 86.25mm using IAG's in-house honing process -- setting exact piston-to-wall clearances that support quiet operation, reduced oil consumption, and reliable performance.

Forged Rods and Pistons for Boosted Applications
The JE FSR 2618 alloy forged pistons use an asymmetrical skirt design that reduces piston weight while maintaining structural integrity needed for increased cylinder pressures. Matched to IAG-Spec H-Beam rods with ARP2000 bolts, this combination handles loads created by turbo upgrades well beyond what the factory FA20 internals can support.
