HKS RS Intake System – 2015-2021 Subaru STI (VAB VAF WRX STI EJ257

Description:

HKS RS Intake System - 2015-2021 Subaru STI (VAB VAF WRX STI EJ257

Replacing the Factory Intake Restriction
HKS intake systems replace the restrictive factory airbox and intake tube with a larger, smoother flow path designed specifically for each engine and turbo configuration. On turbocharged applications the intake feeds the compressor inlet -- restriction here reduces available air volume and limits the turbocharger's ability to build boost efficiently. HKS designs intake systems with smooth interior walls and optimized routing to minimize turbulence entering the compressor.

Details

• Application-specific design for the target engine and turbocharger configuration
• Smooth interior walls minimize turbulence at the compressor inlet
• HKS Super Hybrid filter element -- three-layer triple-density dry filtration
• 30% more filtration surface area than comparable designs
• No oil treatment required at service intervals

HKS Super Hybrid Filter Technology
HKS uses their Super Hybrid filter element -- a three-layer, triple-density dry filter design that provides 30% more intake surface area than comparable filters while maintaining filtration efficiency. Dry filter design means no oil treatment is required at service intervals. The DryCarbon intake systems use prepreg carbon fiber construction for heat resistance and reduced thermal conductivity in the engine bay.

Why Choose HKS
HKS has been engineering performance automotive components since 1973, building a global reputation through motorsport involvement at the highest levels of circuit racing, rally, drag, and time attack. Their product range covers virtually every aspect of engine and chassis performance, with each product developed through in-house testing and real-world validation on the specific vehicles it is designed for. For Subaru, Toyota, and Honda performance builds, HKS offers some of the most platform-specific aftermarket engineering available.

The RallySport Take

HKS intake systems are application-specific -- each kit is designed for a particular engine and intake configuration. For modified engines that have moved beyond the factory intake's flow capacity, or builds where maximum airflow is a priority, the HKS system is a properly engineered solution.
