GrimmSpeed Stubby Shift Knob Stainless Steel Red – Subaru 6MT Models (inc. 2004+ STI / 2013+ BRZ)

Description:

GrimmSpeed Stubby Shift Knob, Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Red

The GrimmSpeed Stubby Shift Knob in stainless steel stainless steel red is a direct thread-on replacement for the factory shift knob on manual Subaru models and compatible Ford applications (M12x1.25). The stainless steel construction is more durable, better-looking, and better-feeling than the OEM rubber-covered plastic unit.

DETAILS

• Material: Stainless Steel
• Color/finish: Stainless Steel Red
• Style: Stubby
• Thread: M12x1.25
• Fitment: manual Subaru models and compatible Ford applications

The OEM Subaru shift knob is rubber over plastic, the rubber delaminates with age and heat, the surface becomes greasy, and the feel under your hand on every shift gets progressively worse. The GrimmSpeed stainless steel knob has none of those failure modes. Stainless Steel does not degrade from heat, oil contact, or age. It stays dimensionally stable and holds its finish indefinitely.

The stubby profile brings the hand lower and closer to the base of the lever, tightening the effective throw arc for quicker shifts. The M12x1.25 thread is standard across Subaru manual transmissions and compatible Ford models.

Why Choose GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed has been engineering performance parts for Subaru platforms from their Portland, Oregon facility since 2003. Everything they make is designed around real-world use, their engineers drive the same cars their customers drive, which means product decisions are made with genuine platform knowledge behind them. GrimmSpeed designs parts in-house, sources quality materials, and validates fitment on the actual application before release. The result is parts that install correctly the first time, perform as advertised, and hold up under the conditions Subaru owners actually subject their cars to. Whether it is a critical engine component or a cosmetic upgrade, the same attention to detail and fit quality applies across the catalog.

The RallySport Take

The GrimmSpeed shift knob is the correct upgrade for any manual Subaru or Ford. Installs in minutes, lasts indefinitely, improves every gear change. Fits manual Subaru models and compatible Ford applications (M12x1.25).
