GrimmSpeed Strut Bar (Black) – 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI

Description:

Sharper Turn-In, Less Body Roll Starting With the Strut Bar

The GrimmSpeed Strut Bar in Black for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI is a triangulated aluminum chassis brace that connects the front strut towers, reducing lateral chassis flex under hard cornering. The result is more consistent front suspension geometry through corners, sharper turn-in response, and more predictable handling balance on the GR WRX/STI. Bolt-in at factory strut tower mounting points no modification required. THIS LISTING: Black powdercoat Red also available.

Triangulated Aluminum Construction Adds Chassis Rigidity Without Adding Weight

The GrimmSpeed strut bar uses triangulated aluminum construction to brace the front strut towers against each other. Under hard cornering, the front subframe experiences lateral flex between the strut towers each strut mount pushes or pulls in opposite directions as the body rolls. The strut bar connects the two towers through a rigid triangulated structure, limiting this flex and keeping the front suspension geometry more consistent through the corner. The result is more predictable turn-in response and reduced understeer through cornering compared to an unbraced chassis.

Bolt-In at Factory Strut Tower Mounting Points

The GrimmSpeed strut bar bolts directly to the factory strut tower mounting points on the specific platform no drilling, no welding, no modification to the chassis. The adjustable center section allows the bar to be set to the correct length for the strut tower spacing on installation. The powdercoated finish resists corrosion and chipping in the engine bay environment.

Straight From Subispeed

The GrimmSpeed strut bar is the correct first chassis handling upgrade on a GR WRX/STI it addresses the front strut tower flex that all unibody Subaru platforms experience under hard cornering. The handling improvement is immediately noticeable on turn-in, and the bolt-in installation keeps it accessible for anyone doing their own work. The black powdercoat suits the engine bay well and holds up over time. If you're on a budget and want the best handling-per-dollar upgrade available for the GR WRX/STI, this is it.

About GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed is a Pacific Northwest-based performance parts manufacturer that has been building Subaru-specific hardware since 2003. Founded by engineers who were actively building and racing Subarus themselves, GrimmSpeed's catalog reflects the priorities of people who use the products they make turbo inlets, downpipes, uppipes, boost controllers, intercoolers, and engine bay accessories designed specifically for the EJ and FA-series Subaru platforms. Every GrimmSpeed product is engineered, tested, and refined in-house, and their focus on Subaru means the fitment and function reflect a deep understanding of the specific platforms they cover. Subispeed carries the full GrimmSpeed catalog because their approach to product development consistently produces parts that perform as advertised and fit correctly out of the box.
