GrimmSpeed Pitch Stop Mount – Subaru Models (inc. WRX 2002 – 2020)

Description:

GrimmSpeed Pitch Stop Mount , Subaru WRX / STI

The GrimmSpeed Pitch Stop Mount for the 2002-2020 Subaru WRX and 2004-2021 STI replaces the factory pitch stop bracket with a more rigid unit that controls engine pitch motion under hard acceleration and braking. The factory pitch stop allows more engine movement than necessary for performance driving, contributing to driveline slop and shifter feel issues.

DETAILS

• Reduces engine pitch movement under acceleration/braking
• Improved driveline feel and shifter precision
• Polyurethane or solid insert
• Direct bolt-on replacement
• Fitment: 2002-2020 Subaru WRX / 2004-2021 STI

Under hard acceleration, the EJ and FA-series Subaru engines pitch backward due to the torque reaction , the factory pitch stop limits this, but with a rubber bushing that allows more movement than performance driving demands. The GrimmSpeed pitch stop mount uses a polyurethane insert that limits pitch movement more precisely, reducing the slop in the driveline that affects shift feel and throttle response consistency.

The street version uses a polyurethane insert that significantly reduces pitch movement versus OEM while remaining compatible with daily use , some additional NVH is expected but well within acceptable limits for a modified street car.

Why Choose GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed has been engineering performance parts for Subaru platforms from their Portland, Oregon facility since 2003. Everything they make is designed around real-world use , their engineers drive the same cars their customers drive, which means product decisions are made with genuine platform knowledge behind them. GrimmSpeed designs parts in-house, sources quality materials, and validates fitment on the actual application before release. The result is parts that install correctly the first time, perform as advertised, and hold up under the conditions Subaru owners actually subject their cars to. Whether it is a critical engine component or a cosmetic upgrade, the same attention to detail and fit quality applies across the catalog.

The RallySport Take

The pitch stop mount is a modification that makes the car feel more precise immediately after installation. Shifter feel improves, driveline lash reduces, and the car's response to throttle and brake inputs becomes more direct. For street builds, the standard version is the balanced choice. Fits the 2002-2020 Subaru WRX and 2004-2021 WRX STI.
