GrimmSpeed Lightweight Battery Mount Black – 2008-2021 Subaru WRX/STI

Description:

Battery Mount Done Right GrimmSpeed Lightweight Battery Mount for GR WRX/STI

The GrimmSpeed Lightweight Battery Mount in Black for the 2008-2021 Subaru WRX and STI replaces the factory battery tray and hold-down bracket with a laser-cut, CNC-bent 5052 aluminum unit that reduces weight, improves the engine bay appearance, and provides the quick-access clamping design that makes battery removal fast without tools. The GrimmSpeed mount is significantly lighter than the factory steel hardware and won't corrode under the battery tray condensation that eventually attacks the factory components.

5052 Aluminum, Laser Cut, CNC Bent Lighter and Better Looking Than Stock

The GrimmSpeed battery mount is made from 5052 aluminum a lightweight alloy grade with good corrosion resistance and adequate strength for the battery mounting application. The laser cutting and CNC bending processes produce precise geometry that maintains the correct clamping dimensions across every unit. The powdercoated finish resists corrosion and chipping in the engine bay environment. The result is a mount that is meaningfully lighter than the factory steel hardware and looks the part in a clean GR platform engine bay.

Innovative Clamping Design Fast Battery Access Without Tools

The GrimmSpeed battery mount uses a clamping design that allows the battery to be mounted and removed quickly without tools important for track use where battery removal for weight reduction or electrical reset is a regular operation. The screenprinted GrimmSpeed logo and finished aluminum appearance complete the engine bay presentation.

Straight From Subispeed

The GrimmSpeed battery mount for the GR WRX/STI addresses both the weight and the appearance of the factory battery mounting hardware simultaneously. The factory steel tray and hold-down are heavy, corrode over time, and look like afterthoughts in an otherwise upgraded engine bay. The GrimmSpeed aluminum mount solves all three issues lighter, corrosion resistant, and visually intentional. For a car that spends any time on track where weight and engine bay neatness both matter, this is the correct replacement.

About GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed is a Pacific Northwest-based performance parts manufacturer that has been building Subaru-specific hardware since 2003. Founded by engineers who were actively building and racing Subarus themselves, GrimmSpeed's catalog reflects the priorities of people who use the products they make turbo inlets, downpipes, uppipes, boost controllers, intercoolers, and engine bay accessories designed specifically for the EJ and FA-series Subaru platforms. Every GrimmSpeed product is engineered, tested, and refined in-house, and their focus on Subaru means the fitment and function reflect a deep understanding of the specific platforms they cover. Subispeed carries the full GrimmSpeed catalog because their approach to product development consistently produces parts that perform as advertised and fit correctly out of the box.
