GrimmSpeed License Plate Relocation Kit – 2015-2017 Subaru WRX/STI

Description:

Move the Front Plate Out of the Bumper's Visual Center

The GrimmSpeed License Plate Relocation Kit for the 2015-2017 Subaru WRX/STI moves the front license plate from the center of the bumper to a lower corner position, preserving the visual impact of the front fascia while maintaining compliance with front license plate display requirements. The center-mounted front plate is one of the most visually disruptive elements on a clean VA WRX/STI build the relocation kit is the clean solution that doesn't require drilling or permanent modification to the bumper.

Center Plate vs Corner Plate Why Position Matters on a Performance Car

The factory front license plate location on the VA WRX/STI puts the plate directly in the center of the bumper visually cutting the front fascia in half and obscuring the grille geometry that defines the car's front-end presence. Moving the plate to a lower corner removes it from the visual focal point of the front end while keeping it visible and accessible for inspection. On a modified VA WRX/STI, the front bumper often incorporates a FMIC opening or aggressive styling elements that the center plate completely obscures.

Bolt-In No Drilling, No Permanent Modification to the Bumper

The GrimmSpeed relocation kit uses existing mounting points or factory-provided holes in the VA WRX/STI bumper no drilling into the bumper skin or crash structure. The bracket and hardware provide a secure, rattle-free mounting point for the license plate at the new corner location. The installation is reversible the original center location can be restored if needed.
