Grimmspeed Front Mount Intercooler Kit Black Core w/ Black Piping – 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI

Description:

GrimmSpeed Front Mount Intercooler Kit (Black Core / Black Piping) , 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI

The GrimmSpeed Front Mount Intercooler Kit with black core and black piping for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI relocates charge air cooling to a front mount position in front of the radiator. Removing the intercooler from the heat-saturated engine bay environment and placing the core directly in ambient airflow is the most effective intercooler upgrade path for builds targeting serious power gains.

DETAILS

• Core: black coated aluminum FMIC
• Piping: black powder coated charge pipes
• Core location: front of radiator
• Complete kit: core, piping, couplers, all hardware
• Significant charge temperature improvement vs TMIC
• Fitment: 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI

A front mount intercooler places the core where it has access to the coolest, most abundant airflow on the car rather than competing with engine bay heat. The EJ255 / EJ257 platform responds to consistent charge air temperatures with more predictable boost, sharper throttle response, and sustained power output across back-to-back runs that would cause a top mount to heat soak.

The GrimmSpeed FMIC kit is a complete engineered system , black core, black powder coated charge piping, couplers, and all mounting hardware designed specifically for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI chassis and validated together. Installation routes charge piping through the engine bay to the front-mounted core.

Why Choose GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed has been engineering performance parts for Subaru platforms from their Portland, Oregon facility since 2003. Everything they make is designed around real-world use , their engineers drive the same cars their customers drive, which means product decisions are made with genuine platform knowledge behind them. GrimmSpeed designs parts in-house, sources quality materials, and validates fitment on the actual application before release. The result is parts that install correctly the first time, perform as advertised, and hold up under the conditions Subaru owners actually subject their cars to. Whether it is a critical engine component or a cosmetic upgrade, the same attention to detail and fit quality applies across the catalog.

The RallySport Take

The FMIC is the correct upgrade for 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI builds that have pushed past what a top mount can do. Black core, black piping , a finished, purposeful combination under the hood. Fits the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX / STI.
