Description:
GrimmSpeed Boost Control Solenoid, 2002-2005 Subaru WRX
The GrimmSpeed Boost Control Solenoid for the 2002-2005 Subaru WRX is a direct replacement for the factory boost solenoid on the EJ20 platform. A failing solenoid causes inconsistent boost, boost creep, or inability to hold target pressure, the GrimmSpeed replacement restores correct function.
DETAILS
- Direct replacement for OEM boost solenoid on EJ20
- Restores consistent boost targeting
- 3-port design, matches OEM connections
- Fitment: 2002-2005 Subaru WRX
The factory boost solenoid degrades with use and thermal cycling. As it wears, boost drifts from target, spikes, or fails to reach it. These symptoms are often misdiagnosed as tune issues when the solenoid is the actual cause.
The GrimmSpeed replacement connects directly to the factory wiring and vacuum lines. No modification, no retuning, swap the solenoid and boost control returns to correct operation.

Why Choose GrimmSpeed
GrimmSpeed has been engineering performance parts for Subaru platforms from their Portland, Oregon facility since 2003. Everything they make is designed around real-world use, their engineers drive the same cars their customers drive, which means product decisions are made with genuine platform knowledge behind them. GrimmSpeed designs parts in-house, sources quality materials, and validates fitment on the actual application before release. The result is parts that install correctly the first time, perform as advertised, and hold up under the conditions Subaru owners actually subject their cars to. Whether it is a critical engine component or a cosmetic upgrade, the same attention to detail and fit quality applies across the catalog.
The RallySport Take
If your 2002-2005 Subaru WRX shows inconsistent boost and the tune is confirmed correct, replace the boost solenoid first. A common wear item that directly affects boost accuracy. Fits the 2002-2005 Subaru WRX.
