COBB Tuning Stage 2 Power Package – 2015-2019 Volkswagen GTI (Mk7)

Description:

Cobb Stage 2 Power Package 2015-2019 Volkswagen GTI Mk7

The Cobb Stage 2 Power Package for the 2015-2019 Volkswagen GTI Mk7 builds on Stage 1 with a full downpipe upgrade, adding significant exhaust flow improvement to the intake and calibration foundation. The package includes the Accessport V3, the Cobb high-flow downpipe for the EA888 Gen3, and Stage 2 OTS maps calibrated for the combined downpipe and intake modification state.

DETAILS

• Includes: Cobb Accessport V3 + Cobb high-flow downpipe
• Platform: 2015-2019 Volkswagen GTI Mk7/7.5 EA888 Gen3 2.0T
• Stage 2 OTS maps: calibrated for downpipe + intake configuration 91 octane, 93 octane
• High-flow downpipe: reduces exhaust backpressure, improves turbo spool and peak power
• Accessport live gauges and data logging
• NOTE: Ships via UPS/FedEx signature required at delivery

What Stage 2 Adds Over Stage 1

Stage 2 on the Mk7 GTI centers on the downpipe upgrade. The EA888 Gen3's factory downpipe is a significant exhaust restriction it limits turbocharger spool speed, reduces peak exhaust flow, and creates backpressure that constrains what the turbocharger can produce at higher RPM. Replacing it with Cobb's high-flow downpipe reduces this restriction, improving turbo spool characteristics, increasing mid-range power, and enabling higher peak output. The Stage 2 OTS maps are calibrated for the downpipe's specific exhaust flow improvement alongside Stage 1 intake modifications a fully integrated calibration for the Stage 2 hardware state rather than a Stage 1 map with a note about the downpipe.

System Components and NexGen Technology

The Accessport gauge display and high-speed data logging provide the real-time monitoring and ProTuner calibration capability that Stage 2 builds benefit from particularly useful for Mk7 GTI owners who plan to pursue a custom calibration with the Stage 2 hardware installed. The VW-specific OBD-II diagnostic capability covers downpipe-related codes as well as standard EA888 diagnostics.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning

Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.

The RallySport Take

Stage 2 for the Mk7 GTI is the correct next step after Stage 1 for owners who want to continue building. The downpipe is one of the highest-return modifications available for the EA888 Gen3, and the Stage 2 OTS maps are developed to take full advantage of it.
