COBB Tuning Silicone Turbo Inlet V2 Black – 2008-2021 Subaru STI

Description:

Cobb Silicone Turbo Inlet V2 Black 2008-2021 Subaru STI

The Cobb Turbo Inlet for the 2008-2021 Subaru WRX STI replaces the factory rubber inlet hose connecting the intake system to the turbocharger compressor inlet. The factory turbo inlet is a rubber hose that can collapse under high airflow demand, restrict airflow with its soft internal geometry, and degrade over time. The Cobb silicone V2 inlet provides improved flow characteristics and long-term durability.

DETAILS

• Material: silicone V2
• Replaces factory rubber turbo inlet hose
• Improved flow geometry no collapse risk under high airflow
• Platform: 2008-2021 Subaru WRX STI
• All installation hardware included

Turbo Inlet Function and Factory Inlet Limitations

The turbocharger inlet is the connection point between the intake system and the turbocharger compressor wheel it is the last component the intake air passes through before entering the turbocharger. The factory rubber inlet hose has internal geometry that can restrict airflow, particularly at higher intake airflow rates where the flexible rubber can deform under suction pressure. The V2 silicone turbo inlet for the STI features improved dimensional accuracy over V1 for a more precise fit at the EJ257 turbocharger inlet.

Installation and Compatibility with SF Intake Systems

The Cobb turbo inlet is a straightforward upgrade that is often overlooked compared to the more visible intake filter and airbox changes. It addresses a restriction that becomes more meaningful as boost levels and airflow demands increase beyond stock levels particularly relevant for Stage 1+ and Stage 2 builds where the turbocharger is working harder than in a stock configuration.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning

Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.

The RallySport Take

The Cobb turbo inlet for the 2008-2021 Subaru WRX STI is the intake system detail upgrade that completes the flow path between the intake filter and the turbocharger. Often bundled with SF intake installations but equally valuable as a standalone upgrade on builds that already have an aftermarket intake.
