The Cobb Shifter Bushing for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX is a replacement bushing for the factory WRX 6MT shifter mechanism pivot point. Tighter Bushing Durometer: Eliminating Lateral Slop

The Cobb Shifter Bushing kit replaces the factory rubber bushings at the shifter mechanism with tighter-tolerance units that eliminate the lateral slop that makes the factory shift action feel vague and imprecise. Factory bushings are soft rubber by design they reduce noise transmission but allow lateral movement that increases over time as the rubber compresses and degrades. The Cobb bushings use a tighter durometer material that maintains its shape under load.

Standalone Component for Existing WRX Builds

The bushing kit installs at the front and rear pivot points of the shifter mechanism. The front bushing affects lateral precision in the gate-to-gate direction; the rear bushing affects fore-aft precision in the engagement direction. Both together produce the complete improvement. The standalone bushing kit is the component for owners building the Stage 1+ drivetrain upgrade piece by piece.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning

Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.

The RallySport Take

The Cobb Shifter Bushing for the 2015-2021 WRX is the bushing component of the Stage 1+ drivetrain upgrade available standalone for owners who want to add bushing precision to an existing shift plate installation or who are building the full upgrade component by component.
