Reverse Lockout Function: Lift-to-Unlock Mechanism

The reverse lockout addresses a real concern on short-throw STIs: with reduced throw distance between gates, the risk of overshooting into reverse during a hard downshift is non-trivial. The pull ring adds a physical barrier the driver must consciously lift before the transmission accepts the reverse gate.

White / Stealth Black Color and Compatibility with Cobb Shift Knobs

The White / Stealth Black pull ring installs on the shift knob, threading into the base of compatible Cobb knobs. Included in all Cobb Stage 2+ Drivetrain Packages; this standalone listing is for Stage 1+ owners adding the lockout in their preferred color.
