Accessport V3 Specifications

MZR DISI Calibration: Generation-Specific Maps and E85 Support

The MZR DISI 2.3T is a direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder with factory torque figures that challenge engines of significantly larger displacement it builds strong mid-range torque early in the rev range and maintains it broadly. The factory calibration is conservative in fueling and boost targets, with ignition timing pulled back from what the engine can support on quality premium fuel. Cobb's OTS maps for the Mazdaspeed3 address these targets with generation-specific calibrations the Gen 1 (2007-2009) and Gen 2 (2010-2013) Mazdaspeed3 use different ECU hardware and different factory calibration starting points, so each receives independently developed maps rather than shared calibrations. E85 support provides a substantial additional option for Mazdaspeed3 owners who want to use ethanol's charge cooling and high effective octane rating. The Mazdaspeed6 shares the MZR DISI engine family in an AWD sedan body and receives the same calibration quality.

IAT Monitoring, Data Logging, and Custom Tuning

The Accessport's data logging is valuable for monitoring the MZR DISI's known sensitivity to intake air temperature on hot days, high IAT can cause the factory ECU to pull timing significantly. With the Accessport logging IAT and knock activity, an owner or ProTuner can see exactly when and why the engine is pulling back, and build a calibration strategy that accounts for it precisely. The live gauge display shows up to six parameters simultaneously boost, IAT, AFR, fuel trims, coolant temperature giving the driver real-time data the factory Mazdaspeed3 instrument cluster never provides. Custom calibration for intake and downpipe builds is supported through the same ProTuner map transfer process as all Accessport platforms.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning

Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.

The RallySport Take

The Cobb Accessport V3 for the Mazdaspeed3 and Mazdaspeed6 is for Mazda performance owners who want their MZR DISI running at its actual capability. The Mazdaspeed3 has always been an underrated performance car quick, engaging, and deeply responsive to quality calibration. The Accessport is the foundation that makes everything else on this platform work correctly.
