COBB Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust System – 2022-2024 Subaru WRX

Description:

Cobb Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust System 2022-2024 Subaru WRX

The Cobb Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust System for the 2022-2024 Subaru WRX is a full titanium exhaust from the catalytic converter outlet to the dual titanium tips. Grade 1 titanium construction provides significantly reduced weight versus stainless steel, improved corrosion resistance, and the characteristic heat-blued titanium tip appearance. The system is designed specifically for the VB WRX chassis with correct hanger positions, tip sizing, and sound tuning for this generation.

DETAILS

Grade 1 Titanium Construction and Weight Reduction

Cobb's titanium cat-back exhaust uses Grade 1 commercially pure titanium tubing the same material grade used in aerospace and motorsport exhaust applications. Titanium provides exceptional corrosion resistance alongside its primary advantage: it is approximately 45 percent lighter than equivalent stainless steel tubing of the same wall thickness. On a cat-back exhaust system, this weight reduction is meaningful and located behind the rear axle, where reducing unsprung and tail weight improves vehicle dynamics beyond the exhaust's primary performance function. The titanium tips display the characteristic heat-induced blue and gold coloring that develops with use a visual signature of genuine titanium construction that cannot be replicated with coating.

Sound Character, Tip Finish, and Complete Installation Hardware

The cat-back exhaust connects at the catalytic converter outlet and runs through the mid-pipe and resonator section to the rear muffler and exhaust tips. Cobb designs the entire system as a matched assembly the mid-pipe diameter, resonator volume, muffler packing, and tip size are all specified together to achieve a particular sound character and backpressure target. The result is a system that sounds intentional rather than arbitrary: louder and more purposeful than stock without the drone that comes from a muffler delete or an inadequately designed resonator section. All hangers, gaskets, and hardware for the complete installation are included.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning

Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.

The RallySport Take

The Cobb titanium cat-back for the VB WRX is the exhaust upgrade for owners who want the full package weight reduction, improved flow, and the visual and auditory character of genuine titanium construction. The VB WRX's FA24WGT responds to the reduction in exhaust backpressure with more confident boost delivery and a sharper power delivery character that complements an Accessport-calibrated build. The heat-blued titanium tips are immediately recognizable and age naturally with use, deepening in color character over time. This is the correct exhaust for the VB WRX build.
