Instead of a laptop running EcuTek ProECU software, the Phone Flash Kit uses a dedicated smartphone app that connects to the ECU via the EcuTek dongle, allowing map application and switching without a computer. The Cobb-developed OTS maps for the FA24 BRZ and GR86 are the same between the Phone Flash Kit and the Flash Kit Pro same calibration strategy, same custom feature unlocks, same typical power gain on 93 octane. The choice between the two products comes down to the interface the owner prefers: laptop-based professional software (Flash Kit Pro) or smartphone app convenience (Phone Flash Kit).
