Description:
APR Performance GT2 AeroMirrors are made from premium lightweight pre-preg carbon fiber, featuring a sleek low-drag housing designed to cut through the air with ease and enhance vehicle stability at speed. The precision-shaped airfoil stalk eliminates turbulence and reduces drag, delivering a cleaner aerodynamic profile and improved high-speed performance. Built for drivers who demand performance and craftsmanship, these mirrors bring a race-inspired look and functional aero advantage to any build.
Patent Number: US D1,110,912 S
COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS (CFD) ANALYSIS BACKED IMPROVEMENTS:
CFD Analysis simulates airflow around mirror shapes to visualize drag forces, flow separation, and vortex shedding. This allows digital iterations of designs to be optimized for aerodynamics and proves that APR Performance GT2 AeroMirrors function as intended for the ultimate drag reduction.
LOW-DRAG MIRROR STALK DESIGN & AERODYNAMIC MIRROR HOUSING:
The precision-shaped airfoil stalk eliminates turbulence and reduces drag, delivering a cleaner aerodynamic profile and improved high-speed performance. The GT2 AeroMirrors sharper aerodynamic housing edges help to further reduce drag through reduction of airflow turbulence.
LIGHTWEIGHT:
Shaving unnecessary weight off racecar is crucial to on-track performance, as it enhances every aspect of performance: acceleration, braking, handling, and reduce wear and tear. Measured at 1-1.5lb per side for complete mirror, the GT2 AeroMirrors shave unnecessary ounces off the vehicle to help drivers slash precious time on track with full Pre-preg. carbon fiber construction.
BENEFITS OF APR PERFORMANCE GT2 AEROMIRRORS:
- Reduced Aerodynamic Drag:
APR's proprietary airfoil stalk design reduces aerodynamic resistance, helping the car maintain higher speeds with less engine power.
Reducing drag to achieve a higher straight-line top speed, crucial in racing where every fraction of a second counts.
- Improved Fuel Efficiency:
Less drag translates directly to reduced fuel consumption, allowing longer stints and less stops.
Engineered to improve aero stability, giving drivers more confidence and control, especially in corners.
FEATURES:
The aerodynamic profile design minimizes the mirrors frontal area while still providing visibility functionality required. In addition, to minimize aerodynamic impact of mirrors and achieve low-drag, APR Performance GT2 AeroMirrors utilize thin stalks and compact mirror housings to reduce the cross-sectional area exposed to airflow that create turbulences.
APR Performance GT2 AeroMirror housings are not only compact but also incorporate sharper edges to further reduce airflow turbulence. Further, the mirror stalks are not only thin but also utilize airfoil profiles inspired by APR Performances Adjustable Wings to reduce separation and vortex shedding. This design ethos creates a smooth transition between arms and mirror head, which further reduces interference drag.
Anything that moves through air will create a wake, and there is no way to eliminate it completely. Instead of designs that allow messy, turbulent wake found on some external mirrors, APR Performance GT2 AeroMirrors intentionally create controlled vortices that guide airflow smoothly along the cars side. This controlled wake reduces turbulence around the side windows and A-pillar region, which helps to improve downstream aerodynamics to achieve better overall aero performance.
- Adjustable, Anti-Glare Blue Tinted Convex Lenses
Fully adjustable convex lenses to suit drivers needs, and anti-glare blue tinted convex lenses help to reduce annoying glare while increasing viewing area compared to standard flat lenses.
