19-21 STI GrimmSpeed Dry-Con Performance Panel Air Filter

Description:

GrimmSpeed Dry-Con Performance Panel Air Filter, 2019-2021 Subaru WRX STI

The GrimmSpeed Dry-Con Performance Panel Air Filter for the 2019-2021 Subaru WRX STI is a drop-in replacement for the factory airbox filter element. It improves airflow over the stock paper element while keeping the factory sealed airbox intact, no intake modification, no MAF recalibration, no installation work beyond swapping the filter.

DETAILS

• Drop-in OEM airbox replacement, installs in minutes
• Dry-Con media outflows OEM paper
• Better filtration than dry cotton gauze
• Washable and reusable
• Fitment: 2019-2021 Subaru WRX STI

OEM paper filters restrict airflow as a primary design constraint. GrimmSpeed's Dry-Con media uses a different filtration structure providing greater airflow at the same or better filtration efficiency. The filter fits the factory airbox exactly, same mounting tabs, same dimensions, same location.

Unlike oiled cotton gauze, Dry-Con uses dry media that does not require re-oiling and will not transfer oil to the MAF sensor. Cleaning is straightforward, rinse with water, dry, reinstall. Service intervals are significantly longer than disposable paper.

Why Choose GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed has been engineering performance parts for Subaru platforms from their Portland, Oregon facility since 2003. Everything they make is designed around real-world use, their engineers drive the same cars their customers drive, which means product decisions are made with genuine platform knowledge behind them. GrimmSpeed designs parts in-house, sources quality materials, and validates fitment on the actual application before release. The result is parts that install correctly the first time, perform as advertised, and hold up under the conditions Subaru owners actually subject their cars to. Whether it is a critical engine component or a cosmetic upgrade, the same attention to detail and fit quality applies across the catalog.

The RallySport Take

The Dry-Con is the highest-value intake modification for 2019-2021 Subaru WRX STI owners who want better airflow without modifying the intake system. The factory paper element is the restriction, not the airbox. Fits the 2019-2021 Subaru WRX STI.
