Get Liqui Moly KFS 12+ Radiator Antifreeze in Kenya

In modern automotive systems, cooling plays an equally important role as lubrication and fuel supply. The radiator, water pump, hoses, and cooling passages inside the engine all rely on a specialized fluid to maintain optimal operating temperatures, protect against corrosion, and ensure the longevity of vital engine components. Liqui Moly KFS 12+ Radiator Antifreeze (1 Litre) is a high-quality, long-life coolant concentrate formulated to meet the demands of modern engines, offering exceptional thermal stability, corrosion resistance, and compatibility with advanced cooling system materials.

This antifreeze is based on ethylene glycol with cutting-edge additive technology that provides a higher degree of reliability compared to conventional coolants. By combining superior heat transfer capabilities with excellent protective properties, Liqui Moly KFS 12+ ensures that your engine runs efficiently regardless of environmental conditions.

Function and Purpose of Radiator Antifreeze

Radiator antifreeze is far more than a fluid to prevent freezing in cold weather. Its functions are multi-layered and critical to engine health:

1. Freeze Protection Prevents coolant from solidifying in extremely cold climates, ensuring coolant circulation continues smoothly.

2. Boil Protection Raises the boiling point of the coolant, preventing overheating during high engine loads or hot weather.

3. Corrosion Protection Protects metals such as aluminum, cast iron, steel, brass, and copper from rust and pitting.

4. Lubrication Provides lubrication for the water pump and seals, reducing wear and extending service life.

5. Deposit Prevention Minimizes scale and sludge buildup inside the cooling system, which can restrict coolant flow.

Liqui Moly KFS 12+ excels in each of these functions, ensuring consistent performance across a wide range of vehicles and operating conditions.

Composition and Technology

Liqui Moly KFS 12+ is based on ethylene glycol combined with Organic Acid Technology (OAT) corrosion inhibitors. Unlike older coolants that relied on silicates, phosphates, and nitrates, the OAT formula offers long-lasting protection with fewer deposits, making it ideal for modern engines equipped with lightweight alloys and precision cooling systems.

Key additives include:

• Organic Acid Inhibitors: Provide long-term corrosion protection without leaving abrasive deposits.

• Stabilizers: Ensure consistent chemical balance throughout the fluids lifespan.

• Antifoaming Agents: Prevent bubble formation that could impair heat transfer.

• pH Buffers: Maintain a balanced pH level, avoiding acidic or alkaline conditions that damage metals and seals.

Performance Characteristics

1. Extended Service Life
Unlike conventional coolants that require replacement every 2 years, Liqui Moly KFS 12+ is designed for extended use, often lasting up to 5 years or 250,000 km, depending on vehicle manufacturer specifications.

2. Wide Temperature Range
The concentrate offers freeze protection down to 40C (when mixed correctly) and boil-over protection exceeding +120C, ensuring reliability in extreme cold and hot conditions alike.

3. Corrosion Resistance
It protects a wide range of materials including aluminum, magnesium, iron, steel, brass, and copper. This makes it suitable for engines that incorporate multi-metal cooling systems.

4. Compatibility with Seals and Plastics
Modern engines contain rubber seals and plastic components in their cooling circuits. Liqui Moly KFS 12+ is carefully engineered to be fully compatible, preventing premature wear or chemical reactions.

5. Deposit-Free Operation
The silicate-free formula reduces the risk of limescale and gel deposits that can block radiator fins, water jackets, and heater cores.

6. Mixing Flexibility
It is a concentrate that must be diluted with distilled water before use, typically at a 1:1 ratio, though dilution can be adjusted for climate conditions.

Applications

Liqui Moly KFS 12+ is suitable for a wide range of vehicles including passenger cars, SUVs, light commercial vehicles, and even some heavy-duty engines. It meets the specifications of numerous European and international automakers, making it an ideal choice for vehicles that demand OAT-based coolants.

Its applications include:

• Cooling systems in gasoline and diesel engines.

• Vehicles equipped with aluminum radiators and lightweight engine components.

• Modern high-performance engines requiring long-life, silicate-free antifreeze.

Advantages of Liqui Moly KFS 12+

1. Extended Protection Long-life formulation reduces the need for frequent coolant changes.

2. OEM Approved Meets or exceeds many car manufacturers coolant requirements.

3. Versatile Compatibility Suitable for use in mixed-metal engines and advanced cooling system designs.

4. Environmental Stability Extended service intervals mean less waste generation and reduced environmental impact.

5. Reliable Performance Offers consistent boiling and freezing protection under varied conditions.

6. Peace of Mind Drivers can trust that the cooling system remains protected year-round, regardless of climate.

Maintenance and Usage Guidelines

For optimal performance, vehicle owners should follow these guidelines when using Liqui Moly KFS 12+:

• Dilution: Mix the concentrate with distilled or demineralized water before use. A 50:50 ratio provides ideal freeze and boil protection.

• System Flush: Always flush the cooling system before switching to KFS 12+ if another type of coolant was previously used. Mixing different coolant chemistries can cause sludge formation.

• Replacement Intervals: Follow the vehicle manufacturers recommendations. While KFS 12+ is long-life, replacement is still necessary at specified intervals to ensure protection.

• Handling: Store sealed in its original container, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep out of reach of children and avoid contact with skin or eyes.

• Disposal: Used coolant must be disposed of responsibly in accordance with local environmental regulations.

Environmental Considerations

While Liqui Moly KFS 12+ is not biodegradable due to its ethylene glycol content, its extended drain intervals reduce the frequency of coolant disposal. This minimizes environmental impact when compared with older coolant types. Nonetheless, proper collection and recycling are essential.

Liqui Moly is committed to sustainable practices, and the development of KFS 12+ aligns with the companys philosophy of delivering high-performance products with environmental awareness.

Packaging and Presentation

Liqui Moly KFS 12+ Radiator Antifreeze is available in a 1-litre container. Its compact packaging is ideal for topping up cooling systems or for preparing mixtures for smaller-capacity engines.
