Description:
Cobb Accessport V3 2015-2021 Subaru WRX / STI / 2014-2018 Forester XT
The Cobb Accessport V3 for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX, WRX STI, 2014-2018 Forester XT, and 2019-2020 Ascent covers the complete VA-generation Subaru performance lineup on a single device. The FA20DIT WRX, EJ257 STI, FA20F/EJ255 Forester XT, and FA20DIT Ascent each receive platform-specific OTS maps independently developed calibrations for each engine's specific boost control architecture, fueling system, and factory parameters, not shared maps adapted between applications. Flash an OTS map in under three minutes, monitor six live parameters on a 2.8-inch color screen, and log every data point a ProTuner needs for a custom calibration.

Platform-Specific Calibration: FA20DIT vs EJ257
The FA20DIT WRX and EJ257 STI require different calibration approaches and receive different OTS maps. The FA20DIT runs a modest factory boost target on a small direct-injected turbo with conservative ignition advance the 93-octane OTS map sharpens the boost ramp, advances timing to what quality fuel supports, and tightens fueling, producing an immediately more responsive engine from low RPM through the mid-range. The EJ257 STI runs higher factory boost already but carries conservative ignition timing and a fuel strategy designed for lower-octane global market fuel. The STI OTS maps address ignition timing and fueling while also enabling Cobb's NexGen Stage 2 boost control strategy for builds running NexGen Stage 2 intercooler and intake hardware, the Accessport map coordinates with the NexGen boost control solenoid to achieve boost targets the factory system and maps cannot reach. These are not the same calibration adapted between the two engines they are independently developed maps that address each platform's specific characteristics.
Data Logging, NexGen Stage 2, and Live Gauge Monitoring
The Accessport's data logging captures all engine parameters at high sampling rates during any driving session: boost pressure, wideband AFR, intake air temperature, coolant temperature, knock counts, fuel trims, ignition timing, and dozens of other values. A ProTuner reviews this data alongside the current calibration to identify precisely what changes will improve performance or widen safety margin on a specific car with specific modifications. The Forester XT and Ascent platforms benefit from the same logging and gauge capability owners of these vehicles gain real-time monitoring the factory instrument cluster never provides, and the Accessport functions as a full OBD-II code reader for diagnostic work. The in-vehicle mount displays up to six live gauges, keeping critical data in the driver's sightline without taking eyes off the road.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning
Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.
The RallySport Take
The Cobb Accessport V3 is the most important single modification for the 2015-2021 WRX and STI. Not because it makes the most peak power on its own, but because it is the device that makes every other modification produce its full result. Without a supporting calibration, an intake contributes a fraction of its potential airflow benefit. An intercooler without a map that exploits the lower charge air temperatures delivers modest improvement. Flex fuel capability without ethanol compensation is just running alternative fuel on a gasoline calibration. The Accessport is the foundation the entire Cobb performance ecosystem for this generation is designed around and no serious VA-chassis build should be without it.
