COBB Tuning Rear Sway Bar Mount Reinforecement Kit – 2008-2021 Subaru WRX / STI

Description:

Cobb Rear Sway Bar Mount Reinforcement Kit 2008-2021 Subaru WRX / STI

The Cobb Rear Sway Bar Mount Reinforcement Kit for the 2008-2021 Subaru WRX and STI reinforces the factory rear sway bar mounting point on the rear subframe. The factory rear sway bar mount can flex under the increased loads of a stiffer aftermarket rear bar this kit stiffens the mount area so the full benefit of the upgraded bar transfers to the suspension.

Mount Reinforcement: Preventing Flex Under Stiffer Sway Bar Loads

The factory rear sway bar mount on GR and VA Subaru uses a bracket designed for factory bar loads. When a stiffer aftermarket bar is installed, increased forces can cause the mount bracket to flex effectively reducing the aftermarket bar's actual effect because the chassis absorbs some of the force the bar should transmit. The reinforcement kit stiffens this mounting area so the full lateral load transfers correctly.

Installation and Compatibility With Aftermarket Rear Bars

The reinforcement kit installs at the factory rear sway bar mount location. Recommended whenever installing a stiffer-than-factory rear sway bar on the 2008-2021 WRX or STI platform.
