Delrin Construction: Stability and Low-Friction Surface

Cobb's Delrin shift knobs are machined from Delrin (acetal resin) an engineering polymer chosen for its dimensional stability, low-friction surface, and resistance to the hand oils, heat cycling, and UV exposure a shift knob experiences over its service life. Delrin does not absorb hand oils the way natural materials do and does not become slippery with heat. The two-tone construction uses a white or black primary body with a contrasting collar at the base, providing a clean visual distinction that complements a range of interior color schemes.

Non-Weighted, Color Options, and 6MT Thread Fitment

The Cobb Delrin knob is a direct-thread replacement it screws onto the factory shifter shaft or Cobb short throw shifter shaft at the correct thread pitch for the application. No adapter is required. The collar color provides the secondary accent that distinguishes the white/red, white/black, and solid variants. At the correct torque, the knob seats firmly and does not rattle or loosen under normal driving conditions.

Why Choose Cobb Tuning

Cobb Tuning has been developing performance software and hardware for turbocharged enthusiast vehicles since 1999. Founded in Austin, Texas, Cobb built its reputation on the Accessport and expanded into a full catalog of hardware engineered to complement it. Every OTS map is developed in-house on real vehicles, and every hardware product is validated as part of a complete system not sourced and sold in isolation. That integrated approach is why Cobb produces consistent, reliable results across the builds we see every day.

The RallySport Take

The Cobb Delrin Shift Knob in White/Red is the quality knob upgrade for 6MT Subaru owners who want correct materials and a specific color without added mass. Delrin ages better than rubber and looks better than the factory unit throughout its service life.
