Grimmspeed Hood Struts – High Lift – 2015-2024 Subaru WRX / 2015-2021 STI

Description:

GrimmSpeed High Lift Hood Struts, 2015-2024 Subaru WRX / 2015-2021 STI

The GrimmSpeed High Lift Hood Struts for the 2015-2024 Subaru WRX / 2015-2021 STI replace the factory hood prop rod with gas-charged struts that hold the hood open automatically. The High Lift design opens the hood to a greater angle than standard struts, providing improved clearance and access for engine bay work. No more reaching for the prop rod or risk of the hood falling.

DETAILS

• High Lift: greater opening angle than standard
• Replaces factory hood prop rod
• Sold as a pair
• Fitment: 2015-2024 Subaru WRX / 2015-2021 STI

The factory prop rod requires one hand to hold the hood while searching for the prop socket, a small but repetitive annoyance for anyone who regularly works in the engine bay. Gas-charged struts open with the hood and hold it in position without any additional action. Both hands are free immediately.

High Lift struts provide a greater opening angle than standard, giving more clearance above the engine bay for reaching components at the back of the engine bay without the hood edge being in the way. Direct bolt-on at hood and fender mounting points.

What's in the Box

• GrimmSpeed hood struts (pair)
• Mounting hardware

Why Choose GrimmSpeed

GrimmSpeed has been engineering performance parts for Subaru platforms from their Portland, Oregon facility since 2003. Everything they make is designed around real-world use, their engineers drive the same cars their customers drive, which means product decisions are made with genuine platform knowledge behind them. GrimmSpeed designs parts in-house, sources quality materials, and validates fitment on the actual application before release. The result is parts that install correctly the first time, perform as advertised, and hold up under the conditions Subaru owners actually subject their cars to. Whether it is a critical engine component or a cosmetic upgrade, the same attention to detail and fit quality applies across the catalog.
