Verus Dive Plane Kit (Canards) – 2023-2026 Honda Civic Type R

Description:

Verus Engineering Dive Plane (Canard) Kit Honda Civic Type R FL5

The Verus Engineering Dive Plane (Canard) Kit for the FL5 Honda Civic Type R adds meaningful front-end downforce without requiring you to push the front splitter further forward. Developed using state-of-the-art CFD analysis software, Verus was able to maximize downforce output within the given build volume, extracting every bit of aerodynamic performance from a package that keeps the car looking aggressive and purposeful. Each dive plane was designed off scan data taken directly from the FL5 chassis, ensuring an unparalleled fit and finish right out of the box.

DETAILS

• Engineered specifically for the FL5 Honda Civic Type R
• Adds front-end downforce without extending the front splitter footprint
• Developed using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis software
• Scan-data fitment process ensures precise, gap-free installation
• Includes templates for accurate positioning during install
• Designed to shift aerodynamic balance forward
• Ideal for builds running a large rear wing or rear diffuser
• 3M VHB double-sided tape and all necessary hardware included

Where the FL5 Type R already makes serious aerodynamic moves from the factory, Verus Engineering takes things a step further. The dive planes are purpose-built to work in harmony with the FL5's front fascia geometry, generating additional downforce right at the nose of the car. This kind of front-biased aero balance becomes especially important when the rear of the car is already loaded up with a wing or diffuser setup. Without something up front to match it, the car can feel loose and unpredictable at the limit. These dive planes solve that problem cleanly and without compromise.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the included templates, which take the guesswork out of placement. The 3M VHB tape provides a secure bond to the factory bumper surface, and the hardware kit covers everything needed to complete the install at home. Whether you are building a dedicated track car or dialing in a street-driven FL5 that sees occasional circuit time, this kit gives you a clean, race-proven aerodynamic upgrade backed by real engineering data.

Why Choose Verus Engineering

Verus Engineering is a motorsport-focused engineering company that designs and manufactures aerodynamic and chassis components for performance and competition vehicles. Every product in their catalog goes through rigorous CFD simulation and real-world validation before it ever reaches a customer. Their use of scan data during the design process means fitment is dialed in from the start, not an afterthought. If you want aero that is actually engineered rather than just styled, Verus is the standard.

The RallySport Take

The FL5 Civic Type R is already one of the most aerodynamically developed cars to ever come from the factory, so it takes a serious company to improve on what Honda's engineers put together. Verus Engineering is exactly that company. This dive plane kit is the right answer for any FL5 owner who has added or is planning to add a larger rear wing or diffuser and wants the front aero balance to keep up. It is a clean, well-engineered upgrade that installs without drama and delivers real results at speed. If you are building your FL5 for track use or just want the aero to be as sorted as the rest of the car, this kit belongs on your list.
